About ANASA Elements

We Built the Retreat We Couldn't Find.

A Reformer Pilates retreat for people who want strong teaching, beautiful places, proper food, and time to feel like themselves again.

Anasa Bali Retreat
Our Story

It started with a simple question: what would a retreat look like if we did it our way?

Not a fitness camp. Not a spa weekend with one Pilates class added in. And not a retreat where everything looks beautiful, but the teaching feels like an afterthought.

We wanted something more honest.

Properly planned reformer sessions. Healthy, generous food. Wine on the table because joy and connection matter. A place where people can arrive alone and feel comfortable. A few days where the setting changes the way you breathe, move and think.

ANASA Elements came from everything we have learned in the studio, every retreat we have hosted, and every moment where we thought: this is what people need more of.

The Name
Ανάσα
ah-NAH-sah · Greek

Anasa means breath in Greek. But for us, it has always meant more than that.

It is the breath you take when you finally stop rushing. The exhale after a hard week. The moment your body softens, your shoulders drop, and you realise you needed this more than you thought.

That is the feeling behind ANASA Elements.

The reformer gives the structure. The destination gives the space. The food, the water, the conversations, the quiet moments, the laughter around the table — they all become part of it.

That is what we wanted to build.

Founders

We are the founders, teachers and hosts behind ANASA Elements. We own and run ANASA Pilates studios in the UK, where we teach clients every week, train instructors and build the community that ANASA has become known for. After hosting retreats in Europe, Thailand and Bali, we learned that people do not just come for Pilates. They come to feel better in their body, meet good people, eat beautiful food, see somewhere new and step away from the noise. ANASA Elements is our way of bringing all of that together: strong reformer Pilates, beautiful places, healthy food, wine at the table, real connection and more of what we believe a retreat should be. When you come with us, you are not joining a retreat where the teachers only appear for class. We are there with you — teaching, hosting, sharing meals, noticing the little things and shaping the whole experience. That is what makes it personal.

Our Philosophy

Four elements. One practice.

Everything in the retreat comes back to four things we care about deeply: how you move, how you eat, how you recover, and how you connect. Air, Earth, Fire and Water are not just themes. They are the way we shape the whole experience.

Air

Community, connection and breath. Breath is the thing we share. Shared breath, shared space, the kind of connection that happens when the environment is right.

Fire

Strength, precision, and Reformer Pilates with purpose. STOTT reformer Pilates — strong, precise, and purposefully programmed. Movement that transforms and lasts.

Earth

Food, but never without joy. Food that genuinely nourishes — organic, seasonal, prepared with care. A real nutritional shift, not just a beautiful table.

Water

Time to soften, reset, and restore. Time in and near water — sea swims, boat days, poolside stillness. Where effort gives way to ease.

Our APPROACH

Small Groups. Proper Teaching. Real Connection.

ANASA Elements is not built by a big retreat company. It is built by us.

We are the people choosing the locations, planning the sessions, speaking to the chefs, checking the details, welcoming the guests, teaching the classes and sitting around the table with you.

That matters to us.

Because the feeling of a retreat is not created by the villa alone. It is created by the people holding the space, noticing the details, and caring enough to make it feel personal.

We keep our groups small because we want to know the people in front of us. Not just their names, but how they move, what they need, where they need support, and where they are ready to be challenged.
